When should you book a porta potty for July 4th?
Book a July 4th porta potty by mid-June. Holiday week combines backyard parties, town fireworks and job sites that stay open, so units and truck time run out first. Booking early also avoids the rush fee that comes with last-minute orders.
When will the unit arrive and leave?
Holiday units usually arrive one or two business days before the holiday and leave on the first business day after. A July 4th unit may arrive Wednesday or Thursday. You pay for the event, not the extra days on site.
What if you forgot to book?
If you forgot to book, call as early in the day as possible and ask for a standard unit. Standard units are the most plentiful. Flushing units, accessible units and trailers sell out first on holiday weekends. If today is full, ask for the first stop the next morning.

Where should the unit go when fireworks are involved?
Place a holiday porta potty well away from where fireworks are lit, upwind of the grill, and on the path guests already walk after dark. Plastic units can melt or catch fire from sparks. Keep at least 25 feet between the unit and any launch area, and light the path with a lantern.

Do holiday weekends cost more?
A holiday weekend rental costs the same as a normal weekend when you book ahead. The rush fee only applies when you order for the same day or the next day, which is common the week of July 4th.
Will the unit be picked up on the holiday itself?
Units are not picked up on the holiday. Pickup is the first business day after, so a July 4th unit leaves on the first business day after the holiday weekend.
