How many restrooms does a wedding need?
A 5-hour wedding of 100 guests with a bar needs 3 porta potties, or 1 two-stall restroom trailer plus 1 unit. A 150-guest wedding needs 5 units or a 3-stall trailer. Receptions that run past 5 hours need 1 more unit per 100 guests.

Restroom trailer or flushing porta potties for a wedding?
Choose a restroom trailer for a formal wedding when the site has a level spot, a standard outdoor outlet and room for a truck and trailer. Choose flushing porta potties with sinks for a backyard or a site without power. Both are fine for guests; the trailer feels like an indoor bathroom.

Where should wedding restrooms go?
Wedding restrooms should sit 50 to 100 feet from the tent, downwind, on level ground, with a lit path. Keep them out of the ceremony sightline and the photographer's main angles. The truck must reach the spot on a hard surface, so lawns behind the house sometimes need a different plan.
- Light the path after sunset; a string of lights is enough.
- Put the handwashing station beside the restrooms, not by the food.
- On farms and estates, walk the truck route with us by photo before the date.
Why rent restrooms when the house has bathrooms?
Renting wedding restrooms protects a home's septic system, well and floors. One house bathroom can't handle 100 guests in an evening, and septic systems can back up under that load. Rented units also keep guests out of the house during the party.

Restrooms can stay from the rehearsal dinner through the wedding day. We usually set up the day before the rehearsal and pick up the next business day after the wedding. The quote lists every day the unit is on site.
How early should I book a wedding restroom trailer?
Book a wedding restroom trailer as soon as you have a date and venue, ideally 4 to 6 months ahead for a May through October Saturday. Porta potties are easier to get on short notice than trailers.
Will the restroom trailer be cleaned during the reception?
A restroom trailer arrives fully cleaned and stocked, and one evening rarely needs a mid-event cleaning. For all-day or multi-day events, ask about an attendant or a service visit between days.
