What is inside a restroom trailer?
A restroom trailer has separate stalls with flushing porcelain-style toilets, sinks with running water, mirrors, lights, a vent fan and climate control. Our 2-stall trailers have two outside doors, and larger trailers split into men's and women's sides. Steps with handrails lead up to each door.

What does a site need for a restroom trailer?
A restroom trailer needs level ground, a clear path for a truck pulling a trailer, and a standard outdoor outlet within reach of the power cord. Soft lawns, steep driveways and low branches are the usual problems. We look at photos or a pin of the spot before booking.
- Level spot about the trailer length plus a few feet on each side
- Outlet on its own circuit if possible; a generator can be added
- Garden hose nearby, or ask for an onboard water tank
- No overhead wires or branches lower than about 13 feet on the path
Trailer or flushing porta potties: which fits your event?
A restroom trailer fits a formal event of 75 to 200 guests where the site has a level spot and power. Flushing porta potties fit a casual event, a tight backyard or a site without power. Trailers cost more, take more space and need a day-before setup.
| Restroom trailer | Flushing porta potty | |
|---|---|---|
| Feel | Indoor bathroom | Clean outdoor stall |
| Power | Needed | Not needed |
| Water | Hose or onboard tank | Onboard tank |
| Space | Driveway or lawn for truck and trailer | About 4 × 4 ft |
| Best for | Weddings, galas, VIP areas | Backyard parties, showers |

Questions about this unit
Does the restroom trailer have air conditioning?
Our restroom trailers have climate control for summer heat, plus lights and a vent fan. The air conditioning runs off the same power connection as the lights, so a working outdoor outlet or a generator is required.
How far ahead should I book a restroom trailer?
Book a restroom trailer as soon as your date is set, especially for May through October Saturdays. Trailers are fewer than porta potties and wedding weekends fill first. Midweek and off-season dates are easier to get.
Can the restroom trailer run without an outlet?
A restroom trailer can run without an outlet if we bring a generator. Tell us when you book so the generator and fuel show on your quote. Generators are placed away from guests to keep noise down.
How much does a restroom trailer cost per day?
A 2-stall restroom trailer typically starts at about $1,800 per day in our area, and 3-stall or larger trailers start at about $2,800. Distance, generator and water tank add-ons change the total. See the cost guide.
Is there a wheelchair-accessible restroom trailer?
Some restroom trailers come with a ramp and an accessible stall. Availability is limited, so ask when you book. Many hosts pair a trailer with a ground-level wheelchair-accessible porta potty instead.
