How Porta Potty Cleaning Works
What the driver does at each service visit, how often each kind of rental is cleaned, and what you can do to keep a unit fresh between visits.

What happens during a porta potty service visit?
A porta potty service visit has five steps: the driver pumps the waste tank into the truck, scrubs the seat, urinal, walls and floor, adds fresh water and blue deodorizer to the tank, restocks toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and checks the door, lock and vent. Each visit takes about 10 minutes per unit.

How often are porta potties cleaned?
Porta potties on rentals of a week or longer are cleaned once a week. Event units arrive cleaned and stocked and are pumped after pickup, so a one-day party needs no service. Busy job sites and multi-day events can add a second weekly visit or a mid-event service.

How can you keep a porta potty fresh between services?
Keep a porta potty fresh by placing it in shade, keeping the door closed, putting a trash can outside so trash stays out of the tank, and calling for an extra service before a big day. Never add bleach or household cleaners to the tank; they react with the deodorizer.

Is the porta potty cleaned before it's delivered?
Every porta potty is pumped, washed and restocked at our yard before it goes out. Event units are kept separate from job-site units, so party guests get our better-looking units.
Where does the waste go?
Waste goes from the truck's tank to a licensed treatment facility. It is never dumped on site or into storm drains.
Can I request an extra cleaning?
Call us for an extra service visit at any time. Extra visits are listed on your quote or invoice. Give a day's notice when you can.
